Danielle and Nathan’s late July wedding at McKay Ballroom in Grand Rapids was laid-back, intimate, and incredibly sweet. From the beginning of the day, everything felt easy and genuine—the kind of wedding where there was plenty of room to slow down, be present, and enjoy being surrounded by the people they love.
We started with a first look on the rooftop, giving Danielle and Nathan a quiet moment together before the rest of the day began. From there, we wandered through downtown Grand Rapids for portraits, taking our time and letting the city become part of the backdrop. Nothing felt overly posed or rushed; the best moments came naturally as they walked, laughed, and simply enjoyed being together.
Back at McKay Ballroom, the evening continued with the same relaxed energy. There was something especially sweet about the way Danielle and Nathan interacted throughout the day—quiet little moments, genuine laughter, and the kind of comfort that made it obvious how much they enjoy each other.
Their wedding was a reminder that a beautiful day doesn't have to feel complicated. Sometimes it's just a great space, your favorite people, a little time to wander around the city, and a whole lot of love. Danielle and Nathan’s Grand Rapids wedding was exactly that—simple, joyful, and completely true to them.
