Captured on 35mm and digital. Abbi and Carter's engagement session in downtown Grand Rapids was a celebration of something that has been a long time coming. After 11 years together, they know each other in the way that only comes from growing up and growing alongside someone for so much of your life. There was an ease between them that made the entire session feel effortless.

We spent the afternoon wandering through downtown, letting the city become the backdrop while they simply did what they do best—talk, laugh, and enjoy being together. Nothing needed to be forced or overly posed.

Their session felt less like documenting a new chapter and more like capturing the continuation of a story they've already spent years building together. A few hours downtown, a lot of laughter, and two people who have chosen each other for 11 years—and are now getting ready for whatever comes next.
